We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances: With School Administrators: School administrators for your alumni community may access member information to manage the community.

With Service Providers: We use third-party service providers to operate the Service, including:
• Backblaze B2 — cloud file storage for uploaded images
• Neon — database hosting
• Vercel — website hosting
• Resend — transactional email delivery

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to provide services to us. For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of others. Business Transfers: If AlumniSites is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Profile Visibility

You control the visibility of your profile. Available settings include:

• Public — visible to anyone visiting the site
• School — visible to registered members of your school community
• Class Year — visible only to members of your graduating class
• Private — not visible to other members

You can update your visibility settings at any time from your account dashboard.

6. Email Preferences

You can control which types of emails you receive from us through your account dashboard. You may opt out of non-transactional emails at any time. Note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you transactional emails necessary for your account (such as password resets).

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request deletion of your account, we will deactivate your account. Note that some information may be retained in backups or logs for a limited period, and content you have posted may remain visible in an anonymized form to preserve community integrity.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
